We are Drew, Amy, Grace, Paxton, Connor and Caleb DeRiemacker, owners of Fieldcrest Farms. Since 2000, we have been raising MGR registered myotonic goats. Our farm is located between Springfield and Pleasant Plains, Illinois. We are proud members of the Myotonic Goat Registry and since 2013, have been exhibiting our myotonics in MGR sanctioned shows across the Midwest. We also raise AKC Standard Poodles and Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our dogs are members of our family and can be found alongside us doing our farm chores, playing with our children and playing with other dogs at our boarding kennel. All puppies whelped here are born in our home. Our farm is also home to horses, an assortment of laying hens, 4 livestock guardian dogs, barn cats and our grant zebra, Zeke.
We are also the owner/operator of a Kinner Kennels Inc, a full service dog boarding facility and are also co-owners of Kinners on 97, a dog daycare, grooming and dock diving facility. We also help Amy's family on their sesquicentennial farm. We attend Loami Christian Church.
We have placed a lot of effort into our herd's breeding, and management programs. Our goal is to produce myotonic goats that conform to the breed description, possess correct conformation, and add quality to anyone's herd. As a management tool, in 2013, we began testing our herd for Johnes, CAE, and CL, and have received negative results on an annual basis. For the health and longevity of the myotonic breed, our herd, and yours we will continue to test yearly and learn all we can about the diseases we are testing for.
We have also placed alot of effort into the selection of our standard poodle and bernese mountain dogs. They are all DNA tested and are also evaluated using the PennHip xray method.
